Meet Our Staff, Broadway Kennels is a family owned and operated establishment full of caring individuals who adore animals. All of us have pets of our own and know how important a good kenneling experience is for all animals. If you or your pet aren't 100% happy with our services, please let us know. We will do everything we can to make it up to you.

Jodi Clum (Owner) with her dog "Zoe". Jodi worked for Broadway Kennels from 1997 to 2000 as the full-time groomer. When she wasn't grooming she was attending classes in nursing school. She eventually left grooming to pursue a career in nursing however, in 2004 she was offered a management position at Broadway Kennels. Jodi looked at it as an opportunity to use her nursing skills to take care of her true passion, pets. Shortly after, she was presented with the option to purchase Broadway Kennels in November of 2004. From that moment on, Jodi has been committed to providing a safe, healthy and fun environment for pets. Aside from her dog Zoe, she has many other pets of her own.

Meghan Barnes (Manager) with her dog "Rudy". Meghan (Jodi's younger sister) worked at the kennel from 1997-1999 as the only caretaker. She went on to become a police officer only to find she missed working with animals. She came back to help manage the kennel after her sister, Jodi, purchased it in November 2004. Rudy, Meghan's side kick helps out with many of the day-to-day chores, like watering the bushes.

Shannon Sorenson (Groomer) with her dog "Faith" and Sara Spradling (Trainer) with her dog "Sage". Shannon has spent years surrounded by horses and dogs. She can handle the toughest dogs because she's used to training horses. She has worked at a local veterinarian and is very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs. She has been a groomer at Broadway Kennels for two years and has recently started training with us as well. Sara has received her certification in canine obedience instruction from the Animal Behavior College. She practices positive reinforcement, reward based training and clicker training, which is based on operant conditioning. In addition to her training experience, she also has an extensive background in psychology. Sara has spent her entire life around animals and her goal is to bring an understanding of canine behavior to people and to teach dogs the basic social rules of humans.
Penny (Doggie Daycare Attendant) with "Eddie", Chrissy, and Kimberly Andrews (Caretaker) with "Caesar". Penny and her family are a great help at Broadway Kennels. When Penny's not playing with our Doggie Daycare students, she's giving our guests the Tender Loving Care sessions they've grown to love. Penny and her family have been a member of the Greyhound Rescue for years. They have two retired race dogs of their own. Kimberly (Penny's daughter) works hard to care for our many guests. She has recently added a new member to the family, a darling Bernese Mountain Dog named Caesar. During busy holidays and some weekends Chrissy (Penny's youngest daughter) helps out with many of the day-to-day chores.

Donald Barnes (Maintenance/Caretaker) with his dog "Roxie". Donnie (Jodi's younger brother) works hard to keep the kennel looking spic-n-span. When Donnie isn't mowing grass, you can find him repairing the fences, painting, or other labor-intense jobs. Donnie has had dogs his entire life and currently brings his much-loved boxer "Roxie" to daycare on the days he works.

Amy Barnes (Network/Web Site Developer) with her dog "Bailey". Amy (Jodi's oldest sister) is a computer engineering consultant for AT&T, however she spends most of her holiday's and free time helping out at Broadway Kennels. She too is an animal lover. If she's not spending time with her pet dog "Bailey" she's volunteering for charity fundraiser's like the Alum Creek Dog park and the Ohio Basset Hound rescue group. In her free time she designed and maintains our web site. She's always looking for feedback so take a minute and tell her how she can improve the site. Bailey who believes he's on the staff, was our first doggie day care student and is still convinced everyone comes to play with him. Shhh, you'll break his heart if you tell him otherwise.
