WHAT DO I BRING WITH MY PET FOR BOARDING?
1. You MUST bring your dog's food. We no longer provide house food as it causes dogs to get gravely ill when you change their food abruptly. If you forget your dog's food, you may drop it off on our porch after hours or have a friend drop it off. If you have no one to bring it, you can order it and have it delivered to Broadway.
2. Do not bring any bedding. We like the bedding to stay clean and fresh. Bringing your bedding makes this difficult because yours gets lost in our laundry and there is no way to tag it. Your dog will always have comfort while boarding. Large beds are not permitted because they break our washers.
3. Do not bring bowls. We use stainless steel bowls that can be properly disinfected after each use. The only exception is If your dog has a prescribed slow feeder, you may bring it.
4. Toys are permitted, but nothing of any great value or sentimental value. No rawhide bones, rope toys or toys with squeakers are permitted. These items can cause injury when left alone for long periods of time.
5. Everything you bring must fit into our 10 gallon totes/bins. This container is the size of a square laundry basket. DO NOT BRING MONSTER BAGS OF DOG FOOD OR LARGE PLASTIC TOTES/CONTAINERS OF DOG FOOD. Bring just enough for their visit. A 52 lb. bag of dog food for a week long stay is way too much!
6. Medications need to be in their original prescription bottles, so we know the medication names/dosages. We now charge $1.00 per dose, so only bring medications that are NECESSARY. INSULIN is still permitted, but you MUST bring a needle for every single dose needed as we DO NOT REUSE NEEDLES.
7. If boarding a cat, you MUST bring your cat's FOOD and LITTER. Some cats have severe sensitivities to different types of litter, so bring what your cat likes.
